July 11th Walnut Wednesday Excitement!

Wednesday

Got up at 6 am, right on the dot somehow and hopped in the shower. Was out and dressed by 6:30 and then got my puppy ready to go for a walk. Now, I call him a puppy even though technically he isn’t, but just go with it…We just walked around our block for a half hour, because that’s all I could afford to do since I had to get home, ready for work (makeup, outfit to wear, which is always a challenge, and then figuring out something to eat).

I decided to walk in the still semi-shaded areas around my neighborhood because one, the sun still wasn’t fully ‘up’ in the sky and two, I had just showered and didn’t want to get all sweaty and worked up, even though I did anyway. The disadvantage with still living at home with my four family members and not being at school is that I can’t really workout in the morning to get two workouts a day done, since everyone else has to get ready and the time frame, it just doesn’t work out. So, until I get back to school, where I can be freeeeeee, I’m going to have to figure out a way to make this work.. Morning walks anyone?

Having it be a magical Wednesday, I thought it would be appropriate to hit up ‘Walnut Wednesdays’ downtown. It’s this awesome lunch get together that happens every Wednesday or so where all of the local food trucks come out and you can get some good (yet expensive) eats!

After Hours

After work I snuck in time for some spinning! On top of walking the dog this morning, walking around for lunch, and then going to spinning, I still did not feel good because of the stuff I ate.. And I forgot to mention…

It was one of my close friend’s birthdays’ so I was more or less obligated to go out.

First I met up with my girlfriend at a Mexican restaurant around the corner from where the guys were going to be and I got a Margarita. And ate almost half the basket of chips and salsa… I’m so dumb. Really, really regret that one. I’ll know better for next time, right?! Then headed to Lizardville to meet up with the guys .. Definitely didn’t get any beer which was good and I don’t even like it anyway, but here are some fun pictures from the night!

Workout

Woke up for a bit of an early morning walk with my doggy. It was so refreshing and felt great to start the day in a good mood and off on the right foot. Afternoon walk was great too! After work I did spinning at Fitworks and it felt amazing to be on track!

 Food

According to my Calorie Counter App I burned over 3,341 calories and consumed 1,705 for the day. Started off the day with a tiny breakfast. Had Oatmeal, raspberries and a banana. Lunch was a bit of madness, had a burger, sweet potato tots, and lots of water from the heat!  Dinner was some leftovers that mom had cooked, not the healthiest but it’s food.. Had some chicken breast, angel hair pasta, and cooked spinach with garlic and olive oil. Afterwards, met up with my girlfriend for a Margarita and some chips and salsa. Shouldn’t have even gotten those chips on the table because I hate nearly the whole damn basket!

July 6th Friday Fun, Off to Camping we GO!!!

Off to camping we go!

The main highlight of today was heading off to camping for (my) 4th of July getaway! It ‘s all I’ve been looking forward to all week long..

Myself, a group of my guy friends, and his family all go out to their cabin in the backwoods of PA. There’s little to no cell reception once you get on the dirt roads, and you can barely have that when you go to a beach or anywhere, so I like that a lot. They own about 40+ acres of land, have a cabin, a bunch of four wheelers and dirt bikes, we go shooting, have a campfire, you name it… It’s paradise. So, to say the least, we traveled there on Friday, right after I got off of work, and ended up stopping at our favorite restaurant for the best wings you will ever eat. Honey Mustard and Garlic .. with Blue Cheese… Delish! No picture, because I didn’t want to be the weirdo at the table, especially when you’re with a bunch of guys. We got there, unpacked, started up the fire, and then had some smores for dessert. Hit the hay early and we’d get a good start to the next day!

Workout

none. Hah! Honestly, if walking around from the morning, to my car then from the parking lot, to work. etc. Then maybe. Or just sweating buckets because it’s so hot, I didn’t really exercise again.

Food

According to my Calorie Counter App I burned over 2,445 calories and consumed 1,329 for the day. Started off the day with breakfast consisting of an english muffin at home before I ran out the door and then a doughnut at work… Woof. Then had some mixed fruit from home; watermelon, pineapple, strawberries, and some raspberries. Lunch was carrots and ranch, chicken breast, cucumber slices, and some candy :/ Dinner was chicken wings with bleu cheese! Guilty pleasure alert! Then, I had smores at the campfire, YUM!

Wow, what a surprise… Last night was horrible and definitely got the best of me. Sucks. Bad food choices, too much drinking, and I did not workout today at all. Horrible. I did clean and get the house in order a bit, since there was a scheduled open house that I had to prepare a bit for. However, my bad decisions just kept snowballing worse and worse. So I already said I didn’t workout. Then I didn’t workout, and oh hey, didn’t workout again. Good job, me. Then I went to Winking Lizard and got wings, ate too many, and a beer too.. hahah oh what is happening to me. Moronic and dumb.

On a happier side note, I cooked homemade whole grain pasta with cooked spinach, and healthy cheese, and squash. Yummmmm-O. Then fell asleep watching a movie. So thrilling! You think I would’ve learned from Saturday.

According to my Calorie Counter App I burned over 2,428 calories and consumed 1,382 for the day. Started off the day with breakfast consisting of frosted mini wheats and fat free skim milk. Lunch was wings with bleu cheese dip, celery, and a summer shandy beeeer. Dinner was homemade whole grain thin spaghetti, with some of those healthy cheese wedges, cooked in spinach, and squash.  Then, fatty McFattypants went and got Menchie’s fro-yo. word.
