Saturday July 28th & Sunday July 29th Daily

FITspiration

Saturday & Sunday

Saturday started off on a good foot. I lifeguarded in the morning for about four hours, which was actually enjoyable work compared to how the internship madness (happy madness) has been. Sitting watching children around the pool and doing a bit of manual labor never killed anyone. During my breaks from being up in chair, I was able to water jog and that was great. It’s funny how you can’t really feel your sweat or see your sweat until it starts dripping down from your head, since that’s the only part of your body that is above water haha..

After work I headed down to a family party and had THE hardest time trying to control what and how much I ate. I did go a bit over, actually a lot over if you want my honesty, and then we went out for drinks with some friends. I definitely kept my drinking in check though since I had known about the plans since that morning, so I just put in the drinks in My Calorie Counter App and then budgeted from there. Not to mention, I limited myself to Vodka and Water and a Single Margarita!

Sunday was a lot busier, but it was my workout that was hustlin’. I went on a solid run for 52 minutes, cooled down for a 15 minute walk with the dog and then swam and tread water before lifeguarding. I just felt phenomenal! Like I needed it after the day I had with all that crappy eating and then drinking the night before. Definitely successful and proud of it. However I was soooo  beat and had to take on Monday and working.. yikes

Friday July 27th Daily

FITspiration

Friday

Today was a decent day. The day began before the sun even came up. I had to drive my family to the airport at like 4 in the morning. The whole thing was kind of a blur… then got home, was really tired and overslept a bit. Then started off the day with a bit of anxiety, had to go to the doctor, never been a fan of going, hasn’t changed. After the doctor I went in to work, finished up the majority of the big project I was working on which was a bit of relief.

Since the family is gone for a little over a week, I have the house completely to myself, including the puppy, and his somewhat grumpy company at times. I decided to bake at 11 at night. I love Pinterest. It’s honestly hard to find someone who doesn’t love it or hasn’t used it at least once for an internet source. Anywho, I found this recipe for ‘Healthy’ individual pies. You take a whole peach or apple and cut it in half, take out the pit/seeds and put honey or brown sugar in the middle and wrap it in pie crust (you can find healthy pie crust, whole wheat, etc.) and then spike it with a fork or knife and then bake it on top of cupcake sheet. They turned out amazing! They were a somewhat guilt-free treat for breakfast or after dinner.

Workout

Was finally able to let out some steam!! Spinning class at Fitworks for 45-60 minutes and then did a Circuit and Abs for 30+ minutes after. Got home and walked the pup for 30 minutes. Walked a lot today! 60+ minutes!

Breakfast

Cooked mini Apple Pie, Greek yogurt, granola, and a clementine

Lunch

Homemade tuna salad, leftover couscous, celery with peanut butter, and a romaine salad with cucumbers, tomato, little bit of ranch and some peas. Snacked on some blueberries.

Thursday

Today was alright, nothing too mind blowing. The only thing that was kind of (crappy) was electing to go to court to fight a traffic ticket that I didn’t deserve. Anyway, along with court costs, the stupid ordeal was a waste of my time.

Workout

Yoga/Pilates class at Fitworks for 45-50 minutes and then did a Circuit and Abs for 20+ minutes after. Got home and walked the pup for 30 minutes too!

 Food

According to my Calorie Counter App I burned over 2,747 calories and consumed 1,030 for the day.

Breakfast

Banana, Clementine, Eggs and Sausage

Lunch

Greek yogurt, a salad with mixed greens, little bit of ranch dressing, tomatoes, cucumber, celery with peanut butter, leftover couscous, havarti cheese, and granola.

Dinner

Some cooked spinach, leftover eggplant parm.

Hey there, Ho there

Wow it feels like an eternity since I’ve been on the blogging roll…

This week has been insane and already flew by… Seeing as it’s Thursday somehow?

The reason I’ve been so delayed is that I’ve been kicking some ass at my job. I had to develop and create a concept for a client and I had sent it to them yesterday. Hopefully all the feedback is positive and I can deliver what they want!

On the personal side of things, I’ve been doing alright with taking care of myself. Still not seeing any drastic changes with weight or definition/tone on my body. Discouraging, but I know I have to keep at it if I expect to see improvements.

Well, that’s it for now, going to play catch up and work on these posts!

Cheerio!

Monday July 23rd Daily

Monday

When in doubt, work it out! No Excuses here!

I’m really starting to love this new mantra. It’s pretty motivating. Speaking of motivation, I’ve been busting my butt at work since my not so great review the other week and it’s definitely starting to pay off. Doing a lot of client work that is really great for my portfolio and it’ll definitely be worth it in the long run.

I ended up staying at work until 6:30, so I couldn’t make it to spinning class. I was pretty bummed about not being able to make class, debated not doing anything but I really needed to go for a run, especially if I wanted all of my hard work to not go to waste.

Workout

Ran for 60 minutes straight!

 Food

According to my Calorie Counter App I burned over 3,223 calories and consumed 890 for the day.

Breakfast

Clementine, Banana, and Raspberries

Lunch

Big salad with romaine, mixed baby greens, sunflower seeds, spinach, cucumber, peas, little bit of house italian dressing, little bit of crumbled blue cheese, tomatoes, and a small tomato & bean soup.

Dinner

Leftovers. Half of a ciabatta roll, cooked spinach, little bit of chicken parm with some cheese and tomato sauce.
