June 9th Daily Who Let The Dogs Out?!

Friday night I ended up going to a movie and calling it an early night. Ended up having to work (lifeguarding) this weekend, the first day of it this summer! I did not workout, I took today ‘off’ from working out and a partial influence on this decision was a time crunch and my IT Band in my left leg has been acting up really bad. It’s more in my hip than anything and I’ve always been a bit stubborn when it comes to taking ibuprofen when icing isn’t enough, and I’m at that point. This is the hardest part of training because this is an over-use injury that you have to treat or it will hinder not only your working out but your daily functioning/lifestyle too. I did end up going out with friends to get drinks/appetizers but I watched how much and what I was eating. I used my Calorie Counter App on my iPhone to track my food intake as usual which helped curb my over eating.

Food

According to my Calorie Counter App I burned over 2,470 calories and consumed 1,840 for the day. Breakfast was decently healthy! I ended up having plain greek yogurt with honey! First time, was a bit rough but ended up being pretty tasty. Lunch was a fun Pinterest recipe experiment; Grilled half of an avocade face down on the grill and filled the little scoop out with salsa and reduced fat sour cream! (This helped to curb my Chipotle cravings) Finally, dinner and midnight snack was a bit rough. For dinner I had tuna salad and salad. Really delicious and healthy! But then my midnight snack screwed it up! I had some boneless wings with bleu cheese and celery, chicken quesadilla/tortilla, spinach and artichoke dip, and a mint chocolate shake. Not to forget the 3 margs…. Whoops. Bad girl!!!
