June 8th Daily Champion of a Morning Run!
Happy Friday All!! Not only is today the start of the weekend, but we lucked out with the gorgeous sunshine and weather. NEWS FLASH! Not only did I surprise myself today, I found some new things out about myself that I didn’t know until now. I managed to get my ass out of bed and go for a solid run this morning at 6 am before work!! The route I run is a bit hilly, but for good reason! Who doesn’t like intervals?!
Fun Fact: My body has definitely changed and is not what it used to be because I vommed today on my last hill! I was completely surprised that I did, because I have not worked out that hard to the point of throwing up in a long time, but it means a few things. One, I didn’t eat before my run or have anything in my stomach and this affected me because I usually eat a small dinner before each run. Two, my body is starting to react to the training I’m doing, which is good, but by no means do I enjoy or recommend throwing up on a run. Sometimes, like today, it just happens. But recovery is now important with lots of fluids (water) and healthy foods!! I mapped my run on Map My Run.

Ran 4 Miles for 35 minutes and burned over 400 calories
According to my Calorie Counter App I burned over 2,449 calories and consumed 2,095 for the day. Breakfast was coffee, Strawberry Lemonade & Pineapple juice, a banana, Honey Nut Cheerios and milk. Lunch was a mixed greens salad with ranch, cucumbers, tomatoes, red peppers & carrots, Hot & Sour Soup with an eggroll, Greek Yogurt, and some 7 Grain Kashi crackers. Dinner was 1 1/2 of a burger patty, half of a run, condiments, tomato & lettuce, and some cheddar sun chips. Delicious but went a little overboard on calories.
