June 7th Daily Exercise or Lack Thereof
Today was a littler harder on the food side to say the least! But I managed to curb my appetite and watch my portions very closely! I decided to have some leftover homemade french toast for breakfast, so I had to watch what and how much I ate the rest of the day. Then, an impromptu text from family said that I needed to go to a Happy Hour/Going Away Party. It is unavoidable, I had to go, but I did gladly. Because family is family and they always come first. However, in this situation, I knew a few things… I would not be eating my ‘usual’ for dinner, I would be having a drink and it needed to just be one, and that I was going to have to dig reallll deep to try and find motivation to workout afterwards. I snacked on the appetizers and split a burger, so not to eat the whole thing. Managed to have only one drink! GO ME! The pitfall is that I did not have enough motivation to go and workout or even do yoga. However, I did promise to myself that I would get up and go run before work! I went to bed early and literally set 5 alarms to make this run happen!
I used my Calorie Counter App on my iPhone to track my food intake and saw what damage I did for having gone to Happy Hour. According to my Calorie Counter App I burned over 2,449 calories and consumed 2,535 for the day. I was clearly over with calorie intake for the day especially since I didn’t work out either! Breakfast was leftover homemade french toast, milk, and coffee with cream and sugar. Lunch was a mixed greens salad with ranch, cucumbers, tomatoes, red peppers & carrots, peas, and sunflower seeds, and a grilled Chicken Breast. As I was leaving work, I had been obligated to go to a happy hour for family, so I went! I chose to eat as little as possible, to not get that overstuffed and sick to my stomach feeling that I usually get. I had a small cup of lobster bisque, calamari, baked halibut, less than half of a cheeseburger, and a Cosmopolitan. I managed to watch my portions very carefully, however I did go way over my usual target number for daily calories.
